Our client, a well-known Healthcare Workers' Union, is seeking a Chief Clerk for their liens and Worker's Compensation department. This is a fully onsite long term temporary position, Monday through Friday, 9am - 5pm and has the potential for temp-to-direct hire. Responsibilities: - Communicate via telephone with members, attorneys, and carriers regarding various liens and workers’ compensation cases at the organization
- Data enter liens and Workers’ Compensation information in various databases and systems
- Generate letters to attorneys, workers’ compensation board, carriers and union members
- Create and update Excel spreadsheets concerning liens and workers’ compensation cases
- Process incoming correspondence from the workers’ compensation board, attorneys and members
- Provide clerical support to the department including but not limited to; filing, faxing, delivering, etc.
- Perform additional duties and projects as assigned by management
Qualifications: - High School Diploma or GED required, some College or Degree preferred
- 2+ years clerical experience in an office environment AND 1 + years customer service experience
- Excellent data entry and filing skills
- Microsoft Word and Excel
- Good communication skills, a problem solver and ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
- Must meet performance standards including attendance and punctuality
